MICROCOSM & MARCROCOSM

JADE BLACK SPACE PROJECT

122" x 105" x 88", Acrylic on Paper, 2017

Cave paintings filled with primitive energy, ancient civilization and Renaissance artworks based on faith in God: Artworks based on strong beliefs goes over just seeking 'beauty', giving overwhelming feeling to viewers.

When Jade Black works on the Space project, Jade only focuses on the imagination of the connected universe from micro to macro, never thinking about any of others. Jade looks like brainwashed by alien civilization when he is constantly creating shapes. He argues that this is an homage to thousands of civilizations and mankind that have existed and disappeared.

The expandability beyond the 2-dimensional canvas to the three-dimensional space and garments reminds viewers how human lifestyle in specific civilization become to culture.
